About Slothsound Software |
| Slothsound software was founded
in 2002 by Kevin Sellers. Kevin has worked at Skywalker Sound in Northern
California for more than a decade as a sound editor on feature films
including Star Wars Episodes I & II, Titan A.E., and Mission
Impossible and at various recording studios in the Bay Area as a recording
engineer for recording artists including Mickey Hart, Robert Schimmel and
members of Santana. Kevin lives in Northern California with his wife, Edith, and their two dependant cats and Pro Tools HD system. When he's not writing nifty time-saving software he spends his time playing video games, preparing for and attending the Burning Man festival and snowboarding, planning a snowboarding trip, or wondering when it's finally going to freakin' snow again. Kevin's turn ons are long walks along the beach, candlelight dinners under the moonlight and properly tuned theaters. His turn offs are mean people, fake boobs, out of phase speakers, and people who "borrow" his software ideas. |
About Conformer |
| "I am a full time sound editor
and part time programmer/hobbyist. I began work on what was to become Conformer
several years ago when, as an assistant, I was faced with conforming several
editor's reels to a picture change list with over one hundred changes...ouch!
I have a low tolerance for redundancy and the thought of having to
go through so many changes on so many sessions was not very appealing.
I went home and started hacking together applescripts and macros and once
done, all of the changes were applied in a matter of minutes. It worked,
it was great, but it sure wasn't pretty or marketable. It's taken some
time and I have learned enough of the RealBasic programming language to
make Conformer a stand-alone application which does not rely on macro programs
to get the job done. "It's been a lot of fun making it. It's also taken a lot of hard work. I hope you enjoy using Conformer as much as I did creating it." --Kevin Sellers |
